Depression Therapy in Toronto
Here at KMA Therapy, our Toronto Depression therapists are here to help you get back to living the life you love.
We all have those days when things just seem so much more difficult than usual. We’re often able to move through them by connecting with loved ones, taking it easy, and making sure we’ve gotten enough rest.
But when things become persistently overwhelming, it can feel like you’re fighting an uphill battle just to get out of bed in the morning.
Depression is more than just sadness - it is overwhelming, ongoing, and can negatively impact your quality of life.
Signs of Depression Include:
- Feeling numb
- Experience guilt or low self-worth
- Low energy and a lack of motivation
- Changes in appetite and sleep patterns
- Losing interest in things you used to enjoy
A serious sign of depression is suicidal ideation. If you are at risk of harming yourself, please call 911 or connect with the Talk Suicide Canada helpline at 1-833-456-4566.
Help is available, and you are not alone.

How does Depression Therapy at KMA Work?
Depression therapy at KMA Therapy Toronto begins with a 50-minute introductory session with one of our intake counsellors.
In these 50 minutes, we will ask important questions to explore your unique situation and determine a customized treatment approach for your depression:
- How does depression show up in your life?
- When did your low-mood or depressive feelings begin?
- What are your current coping mechanisms when you feel low?
- Is there anything contributing to the severity of depression in your life?
The cost of this session is $190 and is typically covered by your workplace benefits package, however, we also offer sliding-scale rates on a case-by-case basis.
This session will help us match you with the ideal depression therapist for you, establish a customized treatment plan, and help us identify any other resources that may be helpful for you.
After this, you’ll begin regular sessions with your therapist, where you’ll work through your treatment plan on a schedule that works for you. These sessions are 50 minutes and cost $245, per session. Your workplace benefits package typically covers them.
