Welcome! I'm Kimberly Moffit. I've been practicing psychotherapy in Toronto since 2008, and started KMA Therapy so that clients like you can embark on your own individual therapeutic journey. Therapy is a place where we learn and grow, make new decisions, and get sometimes pushed out of our comfort zones.
Psychotherapy and psychological services can be enriching, fun, and sometimes even uncomfortable. We learn more about ourselves and the world around us - about our relationships, our bad habits, and what ultimately what is holding us back from living our best lives. In therapy we work towards understanding our clinical issues like stress, anxiety, and depression - and through this process we can learn how we arrived in our current mindframe in the first place.
At KMA Therapy, we are a team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and counsellors who represent some of Toronto's leading experts in the mental health and psychology field. We welcome a diverse range of clients into our psychotherapy practice at Yonge and Eglinton, and we are very excited to meet you.
Our therapy office feels warm and cozy, and we will always offer you a warm cup of tea on your arrival. We also offer a full range of services to complement your therapy experience -- registered massage therapy, psychologist services, and acupuncture. We look forward to meeting you!
Your psychotherapy experience always begins with a 30-minute intake session with me, Kimberly. Here, we will get to know each other a little better and I'll ask you a lot of questions. From here, we determine who is the best fit in our practice to look after your individual needs and goals. I've always believed in the research showing that 'fit' is incredibly important in the therapy experience. I want you to be able to connect with your therapist in order to make the best progress possible. Some of our clients find that a few sessions are helpful, but the vast majority of our clients attend weekly sessions on a long-term basis.
